Contemporanea 2022, the ninth edition of the contemporary art festival directed by Emanuele Moretti, part of the 38th International Midsummer Festival of Tagliacozzo. Camere d'artista, curated by Arianna Sera of Spazio Hangar, reopened the restored south wing of the Ducal Palace with artists Emanuele Moretti, Gaia Scaramella and Elisa Selli. “Each room is a window from which to peer inside the minds of the individual artists — a mental and spiritual decompression chamber.” Both a group and a solo show, the project asked artists to intervene without a declared theme, with partly site-specific works in dialogue with the history of the palace, created in a deliberately short time. For Bouquet, a large painted bouquet rises from a floor of around 280 dried bouquets, inviting the visitor to cross the room physically and, above all, sensorially.
